Well after getting MS Front Page 2000, I decided to give a try and build a website. Let me know what you think.
It was designed for the aviators in my community in mind.
- Learn how to edit an image and make your background image in the main frame a little lighter (less contrast) so it doesn't interfere with the foreground text as much...
- Change the color of the menu on the left -- I like the black background, but that dark blue is too hard for me to see. A white or yellow would really jump out nicely...
hey pave great site. even though i love the music. be carefull
it is an mp3 and the riaa may try say you are offering it as a download even though there is not a place to click on to download it

I'd be worried about the mp3, can't you embed a wav instead. Also, the link to the pdf, it may be just me, but I hate waiting for adobe to load up, most times it seems like my browser is locked up waiting for it. If it doesn't have many pages, think about captureing the pdf pages to image files and posting it as the background for a blank html pages, you can insert a link to the next page if there's more than one page. I didn't look at the whole pdf since it's a pain in the neck to load.

I'd rather have the mp3, if it becomes a problem then I'll handle it. As for the pdf files, I know what you mean, however, they are pretty big and I just added another one. We'll just have to make do.
you might want to change the page title in your main frame
- when minimized i get: Main Page 2 even though the view source shows it as "Pave Low Website"
open up the frameset, ie index.html
right click, page properties, make change

Hey I must say....not bad at all....especially for your first try. My first website....well, first two, actually...weren't nearly as good. (in fact my first two sucked ) Don't have too much to say that hasn't been said already. Nice job.
The only thing I'd be worried about with mp3 is if it takes too long for people to load. I'm on T3, so I won't notice it...but the mp3 sounds much better than the wav.
Oh one tip.........and this doesn't matter for anything really at all.......is you might get a lot more help from the development forum. If I were you, I'd leave this thread in random for a bit to let some people who don't venture out see it and help out, and then move it.........but it's just a suggestion.
Very nice! I really like the look of it.
I did the same thing with my site that I'm working on- wanted black with blue writing... My brother told me the same thing..lol I liked it, but it WAS hard to read--- but it was pretty!
Anyway it's an interesting site. Gonna send a link to my brother, he's a retired Marine, I think he'll like it.
Looking good.
One comment I would make tho is the music, personally website music annoys me, nothing worse than spending time at a truley good site only to have to either suffer the music repeatedly, or turn your speakers off, just a personal opinion tho. And dont get carried away with lots of things on one page, anything too busy and people lose interest.
Thumbs up for keeness and for using FP, I love FP, and dont fancy using anything else.
Got it, thanks! Somehow I missed that little bugger.
