My Friends computer restarts randomly

specs:

P4 2.5 533
asus p4s533-e
maxtor HD
256pc2700 ddr
xp home
radeon 8700
and a blue neon case light :)

no error message before restart. no virus. all updates installed. new components iv'e tested everthing but mobo.


Oh, it says can't boot secondary slave.

Get hijackthis and post a log from your friend's computer. The application will fit on a disk and the log will too.

Does he have a slave? If not turn off secondary drive in the bios.

maye sure you let AdAware remove those problems, then reboot the pc and scan again

done, still doesn't work


i think it has something to do with aol. everytime i try and dial-up it restarts. i'm on my broadband right now.
