So every Friday at 5pm my Us/Ds light blinks and doesnt stop until Monday meaning I lose internet over the weekend. I have never had anything like this happen before and hope to get some answers.

    Hi and welcome to TSG.

Try unplugging the modem power for 5 minutes and then power up. If that does not restore the connection, contact your Internet Service Provider 's Technical Support department to find out what is going on and correcting it. If they tell you to unplug the modem and plug it back in, you can tell them you already tried that.

If you have a DSL connection, is your computer or the modem handling your PPPoE authentication to establish the connection?

I don't know how much more assistance anyone can give you without knowing where you are located, the name of your Internet Service Provider, and the brand and model number of the modem.

Sounds like you are being controlled. There is no reason for losing connectivity like that unless you have paid for such service (unlikely) or that the service is bad and.or modem is bad

Do you own the modem or is it supplied by the ISP?
