My monitor or graphic card?

    Hi
    I have recently purchased a BFG Geforce 7300 GT OC

    Installed fine with all up to date drivers.

    When i play counter strike source each time i turn my character theres like these lines as if its lagging but is not. its every time i turn the a corner of move these little lines will apear on my monitor not like coloured lines just lines but dissapear straight after?

    i dont know if this is my monitor of graphics card?

    really need help any body please?

    My system is

    Foxconn 945G7MA motheboard
    512 ddr2 Ram (2 x 256mb sticks)
    Geforce 7300 GT OC (PCI-EXPRESS X16)
    550wat power supply
    160gb SATA Harddrive
    extra cooling inside case

    OK This is a update on my problem

    I have found out what is happening and its called tearing.

    Now i really wanna fix this and have been tolt to enable vsync and allow triple buffering.

    Is this safe to do and will it lower my fps?
