my PC can,t shutdown with printer

    hi all
    i reinstall a new windows XP
    and i got a good printer that i tryed it in ather PC to test it
    my printer use a USB port .
    and my PC got 2 USB port in the rear & front.
    the problem is :-
    when i plug the printer to the PC !than i make shutdown to the my PC >>>> the PC make restarting to the windows
    but when i displuge the cable it,s ok.

    i tryed to chang the cable for the printer but the same i tryed the printer wieh ather PC it,s ok .
    i formatted the window and reinstall it agine but same problem.
    i changed battry
    changed ram
    i made defult for bios
    shorted COMS for mainboard


    i hope that i got a good answer about my problem

    1) Find the proper xp driver for your printer (best to check manufacter's web site -- Example: If you have a Lexmark Z42 -- go to the Lexmark web site, and look for Z42 xp driver)

    2) Try a different usb port.

    3) Remove the printer in control panel using add/remove, unplug the usb and reboot. After windows loads, plug in the usb printer and follow the prompts.

    the printer new and the driver for XP

    i tryed four USB port .

    the printer make detecting and the driver it,s good i can use the printer.the printer work good
    but the problem is when i shut down the computer it,s make restart by it self only while the printer pluged to the computer.
