my problem..

a couple of days ago i noticed my computer had a little problem..
when im playing music it kind of jumps/sticks, like as if your playing a cd in a cd player and its stretched and it jumps,its just like that. And i cant find an answer anywhere,im not very techy and would appreciate any help.

I assume you mean when you play from a music file on your PC....what happens if you play from a Music CD in the CD drive.

Have you defargged the drive lately?

What processes in Task Manager seem to be using the most CPU? See if raising the player's priority helps.

When you are doing other things on the PC have you noticed it to be slower aswell?

defragged last week..

IE is using the most..
and pc is running fine apart from when want 2 listern 2 music.. ive noticed when move mouse over the screen it is kind of sticks in middle 4 like half a milla sec but everything else is working fine

sorry like i said not very techy.. i bet this is a realy stupid Q.. but.. how would i rise the players priority?
