When you say crackly do mean the sound is crackly......what about the video is that laggy and have you installed the lasted driver for your video card from NVidia site?
Yes i mean the sound is crackly on youtube, video games etc... it just crackles, not so much when im not doing alot of things, like say if im only watching a youtube video it wont crackle so much, but when i play a game like world of warcraft of something it crackles because it takes alot to run it i think?
I have the latest updated version of nvidia, im pretty sure i installed the correct one. if not how do i find out.
I reinstalled windows because i couldnt get onto my computer anymore, it wouldn't load windows it would just keep restarting before it hits the windows screen and just say cpu error temperature high or something.
But it was all working fine and smoothly not long ago, then all of a sudden it started again? could i have the wrong audio installed or something anything!
You didn't say how old the hard drive and Powersupply was....
Re installing XP will not fix the CPU temperature High warning.....the heatsink on top of your CPU maybe clogged with dust and or the thermal paste has dried out and or the fan isn't working properly.
That is a good life span for a Hard drive but they can last longer....But your main thing is to clean out the PC of any dust as overheat a CPU can damage it.
The cpu temp thing never happens anymore, ill clean it out but that doesnt fix my crackling problem:/ should i just send it in to get repaired or am i missing something like a driver or did i install the wrong driver or?
Clean it out of dust first...check all the fans are spinning.......if you can try other speakers or try those speakers on another PC to eliminate the speakers...
If you have a restore point to before the problem happened you could use System Restore to a date before the problem.
