My Toshiba Satellite laptop C55 series won't turn on, when I click the power button, the power button lights up for about 3 seconds, then goes off. I got it in 2003.

It could be so many things. It isn't worth spending time nor money on a nearly 15 year old laptop.

I think 2003 may be a typo, did you mean 2013 ? If yes what is the full model name ? Should be on the bottom and similar to C55-A-12U.

Sorry, I did mean 2013. The full model name is C55-A5105, Windows 8.1.

No. I have tried this multiple times, with no luck. It has been like this for about 7 months now.

If you haven't tried this already remove the battery and the charger plug, hold down the power button for 30 seconds, replace the battery and charger plug and see if it works then.

Ok now I would open it up and check the ram and hard drive are connected properly.

There seem to be 2 versions of the C55 series, one with a single ram slot and no fan and another with 2 ram slots and a fan.

I found these 2 videos, first is for no fan model 2nd is for model with fan :-

To check the ram and hard drive just remove the bottom panel as shown at ~1:20 in the first video.

Try removing the ram then putting it back, that will clean the contacts and ensure it's fully into the socket.

Is there any way to do it without removing the keyboard?

Yes starting in the 1st video at around 1:15, it's just one screw then remove the cover.
