Name Change help

    I have a question if anybody knows please help!!
    Ok u kno how it goes C:/Documents and settings/(name),,,well how do u change that name.

    You want to change the folder name? Why? What are you trying to accomplish?

    I just dont like the name thats there now.Well actually my girlfriend put her name there without my permission and now we broke up and i gotta look at it every time i turn on the computer.

    control panel /user accounts / chnge accounts/pick account to change and click on change name

    you can't just change folder names with out changing the whole account

    ok so i changed the account but all that did is put OE in my name..But all those folders C:/Documents and settings/______ are still in her name, not mine.Thank u for the help though.:)

    Start>Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>System>General "Tab">Registered?
    Only a guess.

    I'm guessing it's the same as W2K, it's not that easy to change the folder name. The only way I've done it is to create a new user, move all the stuff from the old user's profile, delete the old user, then their files.
