I had this program once and I cannot remember the name of it. It was a scanner of some sort for viruses and malware but there was an option to see what was running on your computer. It would take you to a webpage that displayed what was running and was it was for. For example it would say

    Avast

    xxx.exe - Antivirus scanner
    xxx.exe - Antivirus update

    Windows

    xxe.exe - windows update

and it would go on to list all programs that were running in sections like the example.

Does anyone know what program that is? I cannot think of it and really liked it.
    I tried What's Running 2.2 but that isn't something I like.

    Help please :)

Start up Task Manager (WINKEY+R >> taskmgr >> ENTER).

Look for those processes and try to end one of them.

Does it say 'Access is denied.'?

If it ends, close Task Manager for about 10 seconds, and then check if there are anymore programs like the above there.

Which processes? The ones above are just examples to show how the program displayed on the webpage. I am not having any issues at the moment just trying to find the program I once had.

Oh, sorry mate, totally wrong end of the stick.

Erm, are you thinking of HijackThis?
That does a scan, and I think it has a process explorer.

No problem, I like it when I get help ;)

No it isn't hijack this. I use that as well but the program I had use to take you to a website to show processes running.

I read the reviews and quite a few people said it wasn't for the novice user so that leaves me out ;) Not the one I had but thanks.
