    Greetings,
i have immense difficulties with what seems to be a virus. Windows Defender does not recognise the threat (tried all scans it provides) and here is the problem: the program seems to be checking my internet activity; whenever I try typing "malware removal" or "antivirus" or a similar term, it terminates my browser (shuts it off), I have old version of adwcleaner installed on external drive and thevirus terminates the programas as quickly as I try to run it. Basically it has this self preservation strategy that prevents me to seek help. For example when I wanted to post my question in Security and Malware Removal category the browser stopped so I posted it in the General Security Category:)
After the infection I noticed there are lots of pop-up sites of questionable nature apearing even with my browser not running but otherwise I didn't detect other harmful activities except the aformentioned ones.
