As much as I despise the program, another user of my computer swears by it. So when Adaware knocked out a gator file, they weren't happy. I need the egnsengine.dll file to get it going again.

On a side note as much as I'd like to wipe this abomination of a program off the hard drive, I can't. So what's the best way to keep this thing in check(if there is)?

Here's a much more intelligent Gator alternative: <A HREF="http://www.roboform.com/?tag=ex.dl.10059-601-2409576.dir.manu">RoboForm </A>

Why not try it? It even allows you to import your Gator data.

I've tried both, and I can assure you Gator is no competion for Roboform.

okay I trying to convert the gator files, but it looks like adaware has wiped the folder clear(with the exception of the gator.exe program)

I'm guessing adaware wiped out the data files(this doesn't look good)?

No, it doesn't. It always pays to have a backup of your password data.

But can't your restore your Ad-Aware backup?

"Open the backup-manager from the titlescreen , and choose the desired backup in the following list.
After selecting the backup, just click the "Restore" button to start the installation."

Good luck,
