I will have a 1G WAN internet line soon, and need a router that can handle high WAN throughput like at least 500mbps. It can be Cisco router or other brands, but so far I haven't found a suitable one. I searched about the Cisco 2900s, 3900s, and small business models, but they can only get max to 300mbps (without VPN, NAT, etc running) only.

Does anyone know any model that can handle high throughput? I appreciate it. Thanks.

Any router with gigabit (10/100/1000 mbps) ethernet should handle throughput of nearly 1000 mbps.

i thought that too, but it's not the case. many router w/ 1g interface can't handle 1G speed.

Well, the WAN may not actually deliver full 1G, with overhead and things.
