Need help buying a new laptop

    OK guys i need help. My mom is in college going back for a nursing degree and is looking to buy a new laptop for this semester she gave me a barnes & noble list of the available laptops mainly from samsung, Toshiba and hp. We have an HP desk top already. I was also hoping to find one that is the most efficient for computer gaming something that can run planet side 2 or shogun total war on mid-high specs. I am not sure if you guys need the specs and features of all of them so i will just write down the names.

    She will most likely want an actual notebook, not a tablet.

    For basic office apps and browsing, any current model will work fine. Laptops, in general, are not designed or recommended for gaming. Even under moderate use, they tend to get warm/hot. Gaming stresses the hardware and generates heat, making most laptops run hot. For gaming, you will need to at least double your budget for a laptop, or better yet, get a desktop PC. Desktop models are more suited for gaming.
