I have an Asus monitor and a Sony sound bar. My plan is to have my PS4 projected on the monitor and the sound coming from the sound bar. I have no trouble with the first part but with Audio there is no clear solution and would love some help.

My monitor has no digital audio port, only an analog port and my sound bar only has a digital audio port and not analog. What converter do I need and how do I set it up?

I’d love any help, thank you.

Hi Barrett00, and welcome to TSG.

Does your PS4 have an Optical TOSLINK output and does your soundbar have an Optical TOSLINK input? If so, a simple Optical TOSLINK cable should work for you.

I am not clear on what you mean by "have my PS4 projected on the monitor". Are you using some kind of wireless connection?

Yes it does. I’ve wired them up now and it’s working thanks a ton!
I just meant via HDMI have my PS4 on my monitor is all. Thank you.

You're welcome. Sounds like you already had a TOSLINK cable laying around.
