    * hello! i'm not a regular user, so apologies if i selected the wrong forum :) *

i access m.facebook.com through Chrome on my samsung galaxy s7. there's been a recent change that had 2 effects on my useage:
1 - my phone# was suddenly attached to my account (which i did not authorize). i learned this when i got a text notifying me that someone commented on a post. i fixed this by deleting my ph# from my account.
2 - the site makes annoying "clickity" noises when i open the reaction emojis (thumb, heart, lol, wow face, etc) and then when i select one of them, it makes a "bloop" or "bubble pop" sound.

all the fixes i can find online are for the fb app and they're old. i found comments on a youtube video where others described the same situation happening to them, as of a few days ago.

does anyone know where/how to disable this? it's also happening on my amazon Fire tablet (Silk browser, which i understand is similar to - or based on - android software). if i turn off sounds through the browser settings, it turns off all sounds, including video, etc.

thanks in advance for any suggestions or help!
    ~chris
