Need help finding a compatible hard drive to replace

My st380013as hard drive has been making alot of sounds latly when im loading games, so im planning to buy a new better one how do i find which well be compatible?

That drive comes with the speed limiter attached. You will need to use it, because your motherboard is only capable of SATA1 speed hard drive standard, and the drive is SATA2. The jumper limits its speed to SATA1 so that your mobo handles it.
You can just firstly connect the new hard drive to a free SATA slot, and copypaste all you want to it from the old drive. And you can keep using the old one as long as it ticks. But if it fails(the old one), then you would have no place to backup the files that are on the new drive. I would highly recommend using a imaging software, making a backup image of the old drive, copying it to the new drive, and start using it as the primary/boot hard drive and either throwing the old one away before it fails or using it to store files that are not important at all.
