hi, my comp is windows xp (home ed), AMD Athlon processor, 1ghz, 384 mb ram. i'm new with the programming stuff, i just bought a C++ for Dummies book, it has GNU free included on the CD, but i'm having problems installing it!! it tells me to make a C:\DJGPP directory, copy all the files from the CD to that directory then unzip them all. then it tells me to add some commands to the AUTOEXEC.BAT files, but i dont know where those files are! i searched all over my C drive but i cant find a file called AUTOEXEC.BAT. then later i searched the web and found out AUTOEXEC.BAT files are acutally files that run on DOS. but i still dont understand where i'm supposed to type the commands it asks me to in the book! any help would be appreciated! thanks!
