Ok just trying to fit a Zalman cpns 9500 to a 478 socket. Now they've recently changed the retention clips on these and i've been over the manual a MILLION times and it just DOESN'T work as far as i can tell. Does anyone have any experience with these or maybe be able to point me in the right direction for help. Thanks .Max

Thanks for the vid but i don'n't know, there must be something wrong with my retentio9n clips or something cos when i do it like it's shown for 478 the cooler can still be lifted from the cpu heat spreader. i wish they'd just kept there old retention clips and brackets.

The retention clip is a real pain, you have to make sure that the fan is lined up properly, because it can move around a bit and not let you get the second clip on. It took me like 20 minutes to finally get mine on, and I was about to use a hammer.
