    I am tryin to install the 64 bit version of XP pro on my system but I am getting blue screens everytime I install. I get the 'STOP: ox0000007B' and it reboots whenever it gets to the windows loading screen.
    Weird thing is, that it installs then reboots, then while loading windows in the black screen with the loading bar I get the BSOD.
    My hardware is an AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+
    An Asrock DUAL-SATAII
    2gb Kingston PC3200 RAM
    and im trying to install it on a 250 GB, SATAII hard drive.
    My vid cars is AN EVGA 8600GT with a digital connector to my monitor.

    I slipstreamed every driver that I could find that was x64 for my mobo and made a new install disc so that it will see my SATAII drive.

    Do I need 64 bit HDD drivers? Or my vid card not having 64 bit drivers yet maybe causing this? I cant add the vid card drivers to the install disc because they are not seen during the nlite imaging phase.

    I know that my HDD is ok because I have XP Home on another partition that I set up during install of that OS.

    Any ideas of where to start?
    Thanks in advance....................:confused:

    You need to make sure that you have your bios set to sata / ata instead of raid /achi or whatever unless you are using raid. I had this problem when installing xp x64 on my dell xps 400. You'll also need to have your motherboard chipset drivers on a floppy or you'll have to add them to a custom install disk using nlite otherwise you'll never get it installed.

    I'm running xp pro x64 now. It's not bad once you get past the driver issues. I installed it only for gaming but I mostly only play cod4. There isn't much software that works with it such as anti virus but antivir is free and uses little resources.

    If I am not mistaken, I believe its the one that says;

    SATA RAID Driver (For system to read from floppy diskette during Windows installation)
