Hey, no one is alive in the linux section so i'm lookin for help here..
(Moderators-remove if i'm violating a rule)
I am trying to reformat the hd, but am using linux redhat9. I want to get rid of that and install win98 again.
Is there any way to access DOS from linux, or was that wiped out? Linux is just a real bother to me..
Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Start by getting a Windows 98 SE boot disk from here:

http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

d/l the Windows 98 SE OEM file, save it to your HD. Note the location. Then put a clean floppy in the floppy drive and double click the downloaded file to have it CREATE the bootdisk.

For a little reading on the subject of Fdisk and formatting a HD, go here

http://fdisk.radified.com/

Depending on the size of your HD, plan out the number of partitions and their size in advance.
