Hey my names marty, I need help removing Shopping wizard, Search Extender, and Home search assistant. Lately my AIM has been crashing, so i went to aim.com and they said it was probably because these programs were installed. I'm not much of a computer person  so if you can help me please make it as specific as posible :) .

Thanks,
Marty

SpywareBlaster 3.4 http://majorgeeks.com/download2859.html
SpyBot V1.4 http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html * NEW *
AdAware SE 1.06 http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html - * NEW *
MS AntiSpy - http://download.microsoft.com/downl...-fca2f2c6f0cc/MicrosoftAntiSpywareInstall.exe (XP and W2K only)

DL them (they are free), install them, check each for their
definition updates
and then run AdAware and Spybot, fixing anything
they say.

In SpywareBlaster - Always enable all protection after updates
In SpyBot - After an update run immunize

Do these and reboot before the next step.

Then get HiJack This V1.99.1 http://thespykiller.co.uk/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe - double click the DL file and click unzip letting it extract to its default folder C:\Program FIles\HiJackThis, run it from there, DO NOT fix anything, post the log here.

We still have this

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [appfr32.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\appfr32.exe

Fix it in normal mode - mark it - close IE - click fix

KillBox DL http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip

Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste the following:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\appfr32.exe
Now put a tick by Delete on reboot.
Click on the button with the red circle with the X. It will ask for confirmation. Click yes twice

Okay I did that but I still have Shopping Wizard, Search extender, and Home Search assistant in my add/remove programs list. Does that mean there still on my computer?

Try removing those in add remove - with the tools in #3 and the fixes all should be gone

If no luck you can try this later as there appear to be problems with the link

EasyCleaner http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm

It has an add/remove cleanup

Use the clear files and Unnecessary files buttons - I do not recommend
using the Duplicates files button as many dupes are there on purpose.
