Need Help Reseting PC

    Im trying to sell my pc so I want to completely wipe it before hand. Ive watched so many videos which all say to go into 'Advanced recovery methods' which i do but it says i cant reset it without a windows CD or disk. I just wanna delete my stuff

    Please specify exactly what you want to do before I or somebody else makes assumptions and leads you down a wrong path.

    My interpretation of "completely wipe it" is to remove everything from the hard drive. The surest way to do that is to destroy the hard drive. And there are utilities that will remove the contents (and possibly make the hard drive unusable). Or, you could simply delete all partitions.

    My interpretation of "wanna delete my stuff" is to remove all personal data (including bookmarks, contacts, mail messages, etc.) but leave the OS with most or all existing applications, settings and corruption.

    Is your PC a factory-brand one which came with a built-in system recovery/factory restore partition?
    If it is, advise us what brand name and model name and model number it is.

    Is your PC a self-built one in which you or someone else installed Windows 7 in it?

    Please be more specific and reply to Terry as to what you're wanting to do.
