need help something bad

    it's about my windows vista. it's saying bootmgr is missing. i try to restore it but it says there is no restore points. i tried doing the command prompt, that havnt worked. can anybody help me please. it's a windows vista. 64 bit

    hello
    im still in the hole. i tried all of that but it just keep saying the same thing. i tried to install windows xp
    but it wont do that.maybe i should just get rid of it. i dont know. how can i install windows xp on here?

    it's me again
    i think im going to just get rid of my laptop. but thanks for ur help. oh it's a sony vaio laptop
    runing windows vista. i've been trying everything that i read on here but nothing seem to work
    for me. maybe i just dont know what im doing. ha ha

    did you check the hard drive

    do you have a normal windows disk to install with

    i have a windows vista cd. but it always stop showing a long number.i try to repair it wont do that either.
    i just bought a ultimate boot cd im gonna see how that work out when it get here. off of ebay.

    have you checked the hard drive,we need to know that it does not have a problem before moving on
