Hi

I am getting annoying "Congratulations, you won a ..." voice ups and a related window when I open certain websites. I did a search and found that Tech Guy Support has assisted others with removing this virus/malware. Scanning one of these postings, though, I saw the advice that others should not follow that same instructions, as they were specific to the computer of the individual who had made the request.

My wife's computer (we have a LAN), which runs on XP (mine runs on Vista), first became infected, so I will need to clean up both computers. Neither McAfee nor Ad Aware scans has resolved the problem. Internet Explore no longer operates properly on either of our computers, and I'm using Firefox.

I would appreciate guidance on eliminating this problem.

I'd really appreciate help with this request. Further to my initial posting, I'm not clear whether I should download the HTJ software since it was uploaded in 2007 and my computer runs Vista.
