Was asked to run the log and post in the Security Forums...Keen Value is in msconfig, under the startup tab. Want to remove it, and do whatever else that needs to be done. I do not know how this spyware got thru...have: Spybot, AdAware6,Browser HijackBlaster, SpywareBlaster, X-Cleaner, Spyware Guard along with Norton AV..what am I missing? Any suggestions will be very appreciated! And...thanks so much...for all the help!!:D ;) Parrot!

    Hello again Leeann:D

Yor log is squeeky clean......The keenvalue entry in msconfig will be an old orphaned one.You can delete it like this:

All the items in msconfig/startup tab are a copy of what is listed at this registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
So if u want to remove an item from msconfig.... just delete that entry in the registry.

    Re-boot after.

    ;)

    Hi $teve...

Thanks again for your help! I am not clear on the instructions for the registry...do I delete the item, "run" itself, or do I look to its contents for Keen Value; which is not there, there is only something to do with Norton, have Norton AV to start with the startup, so if I delete "run"...what happens to the AV program? As you can tell, I am confused a bit, thanx for your patience.

    Lee/parrotplay:confused: ;)
