Try this:
Go to http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/ :

Download StartupList 1.51

After unzipping the file, run it. You will see a text file displayed. Copy/paste the file directly to a reply. To copy/paste, when the file is open, click Edit>Select All > Edit > Copy and then right click on a reply window here and select "paste".

I would go to Start > Setting > Control Panel and Add / Remove Programs, uninstall:
save now
promulgate
cmesys
gmt
precision time
newdot domain or desktop (anything that has netdot in it)
dw or downloadware
medialoads
Then I would download and run spybot.

Then Please Download and install SpyBot,

http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/

click the online tab to search for and download the updates, then shut down and relaunch SpyBot.

Go to the Settings tab > File Sets, and uncheck 'System Internals' and 'Tracks' .
These aren't needed for our present purpose, and you can always experiment with them later on.

Finally, after closing down Internet Explorer, click 'Check for problems', and have SpyBot remove all it finds 'Fix selected problems'

you may have to run spybot more than once to clear everything

Remove everything pre-ticked in Red

Then please post another startup list

for starters you also besides the spyware, and you get that from downloading programs or software from the internet. some programs don't have any but a lot do. there are a lot of programs running that you don't really need to run all the time. you can disable some these but find out first what they are, try this web site, www.answers that work.com also download a little helper spybot search & distroy , just type in to search and you'll fine thier site.

Go to Start > Control Panel and if you see Classic View at the upper left, click it.
Then go to Add / Remove programs and uninstall the ones I told you about.

Looks like you got rid of most of the spyware, I don't see anything else in there that could cause problems.
How does it work now?

Correct me if I am wrong! Doesn't Kazaa come as a download carrying all sorts of spyware?
My understanding that the newer 'lite' version is free of the excess baggage but is basically a hacked version...
If you clean out all the spyware and d/l Kazaa again it will just put the same stuff right back into the system....

I've heard as much...

It also installs rather vistigial programs onto a computer. (For example, Save Now and Media Downloads)
