    Now that you downloaded Kazaa, post your new startlist again.

    Rob, you cannot clean your system and have the standard Kazaa at the same time. By running or reinstalling it again you reinstalled all the spyware you removed previously. So please uninstall kazaa, reboot and run Spybot again. Reboot after running it and then run it again. Even after your first removal there was still remaining:

    MediaLoads Installer = "C:\Program Files\DownloadWare\dw.exe" /H

    It may take multiple runs of Spybot to get rid of this. If it doesn't I will give you manual removal instructions.

    Post another startuplist after a couple more runs of Spybot. And do not run or install Kazaa again. There is another version of Kazaa, called Kazaalite that may work for you without installing the spyware. We'll look into that later. Personally I don't use any file sharing utilities, they are just a recipe for trouble sooner or later.

    Also, did you update Spybot before running before?

    Ok that's a little better than last, but I am still seeing:

    MediaLoads Installer = "C:\Program Files\DownloadWare\dw.exe" /H

    and:

    KAZAA = C:\Program Files\Kazaa\kazaa.exe /SYSTRAY

    Have you uninstalled kazaa? We are not going to make any lasting progress unless you do. If this is kazaa lite, you can leave it.

    Once you have uninstalled kazaa and rebooted, go to Start, click Run and enter regedit

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    Navigate to the above key by clicking the + beside

    +HKey_Local_Machine
    +Software
    +Microsoft
    +Windows
    +CurrentVersion

    RUN

    >> with the RUN folder highlighed, look in the Right hand pand for

    MediaLoads Installer = "C:\Program Files\DownloadWare\dw.exe" /H

    and Right click on that and delete it. Close the registry editor and reboot. You should no longer see Medialoads Installer in your startups.

    And you should not be experiencing any of your original problems, we hope.

    The file it's looking for is installed when you install Kazaa. Did you run Spybot and delete any files before you uninstalled Kazaa?

    Follow through on the instructions to remove medialoads installer from the registry if you haven't already.

    In the same RUN folder you will see:

    KAZAA = C:\Program Files\Kazaa\kazaa.exe /SYSTRAY

    Just delete that and don't run kazaa from the programs folder.

    Reboot afterwards.

    Let us know in detail exactly what problems you are experiencing after that, and post another startuplist to go with it.

    Your startup list looks good now, so let's leave it that way by not installing anything new until the other issues get worked out.

    Rob, the problem with "party poker" we probably should be addressing in the "Games" forum. You will have to tell us more about this game. Did it come in a package? Is it an online game? Who is the "Vendor"? There may be some FAQs on the Vendors site concerning the problem. Is this the site here:

    http://www.partypoker.com/index.htm?wm=2002340

    I wouldn't be surprised if some of that spyware came with the program. I don't see a "Privacy" statement prominently placed on their site and I would be very wary of it.

    In looking through your startups, one I see that I have not run accross before is Nhksrv.exe

    If you want to disable this, and I would, go to Administrative Tools > Services and locate the service entry for it. Right click on it, select Properties, and then set the start mode to "disabled".

    Next, when you get any future errors with Music Match or anything else, click the "More Info" tab on the error report and let us know what it says for the faulting module. You can also view these reports by going either to your Administrative Tools folder or by running msinfo32 and clicking on Software Environment > Windows Error Reporting.

    PS: I would respect a computer that refuses to let you gamble online! ;)
