Dell Backup and Recovery is available on Dell Precision, Latitude, Optiplex and Vostro computers that run Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista operating systems
Is there any free way to fix the problem? I bought this from someone last year and it running slow and has a lot of pop ups i can still use it but its too slow also its a xp professional verison 200
you said Vista and now XP professional version 200
not sure what that is - Unless you mean
its running windows vista as an operating system
and also have MS office professional version XP
You should be able to check the recovery partition is still present my Windows Explorer. It could be a D: partition labeled as recovery.
Edit : Try running a hard drive diagnostic test first before proceeding with a recovery or purchasing the OEM discs as this would confirm if the slow performance is not due to bad sectors other than a possible infection.
If a CD restore and it is like my Dell Vostro 490 you just put in the Restore CD and reboot. Then make your picks from the options it gives you.
