need heth drver!!

    ineed an internet driver or sumtin, i think it is the ethernt one, someone sent me one and i just right cliked d installed it and then teinternetorked. i ave lost the driver i was sent. can soeone help!!!

    if you double-click on the driver you are missing in dev manager > click on details tab > change the property to hardware id's, you will be presented a string that looks like VEN_8086&DEV2E17; the vendor would be the 8086, and the device would be the 2e17. That will tell you what the name of the device is, then go to the site mfg and download the driver.

    re my post #5 - if i enter a windows version from the link i posted and then open "drivers original" and click on those - i get down load

    we need the windows version you are running as requested -

    this is the decode for all those devices -
    I would perhaps see if you can contact HP and ask them if they have drivers for XP for that PC _ I have known them come back with a different location on there support site for drivers
