Clean log...............did you add the two o15`s to your trusted zone?
If not,just "Fix" the entries.

Can you check this one too? I got that mysearchnow bar and I can't get rid of it in any way. Also whenever I delete this entry: R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.hvlmmsobcybcnvhwoobzpin....XJOiq1b1R_xCElv3oUFStyh40MgdQnIE9iQv_nlQA.htm another one always pops up. When I scan again in like 5 seconds.

This is a CWS hijack.

Please download and run the following program:

CWSHREDDER

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4086.html

Close all browser windows, open cwshredder.exe then click "Fix" and let it run.

Then restart your computer.

IMPORTANT! To help prevent this from happening again, you should install all the Microsoft security patches and critical updates.

Turn off system restore. On the desktop, right-click on My Computer, click properties, click system restore tab, check turn off system restore, click apply and then OK. Restart your computer. Once your system is clean you will turn it back on and create a new restore point.

Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove programs and remove:

Messenger Plus! 3 - It comes bundled with lop.com malware
Web_Rebates

Rescan with Hijack This, close all browser windows except Hijack This, put a check mark beside these entries and click “fix checked”.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.couldnotfind.com/search_...count_id=144446

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.hvlmmsobcybcnvhwoobzpin....IE9iQv_nlQA.htm

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {26702717-1A3C-9464-5065-156FF6AEF594} - C:\PROGRA~1\MOREID~1\DELETE THAT.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [freesurfer] C:\Program Files\Free Surfer\fs20.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MessengerPlus3] "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\MsgPlus.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WebRebates0] "C:\Program Files\Web_Rebates\WebRebates0.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [thunklogo] C:\PROGRA~1\TESTST~1\up cdrom loud.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MessengerPlus3] "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\MsgPlus.exe" /WinStart

O8 - Extra context menu item: Web Rebates - file://C:\Program Files\Web_Rebates\Sy1150\Tp1150\scri1150a.htm

O9 - Extra button: Free Surfer - {AFC3FA82-AD07-45cd-8B57-983435B9899E} - C:\Program Files\Free Surfer\FS20.exe

O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Free Surfer - {AFC3FA82-AD07-45cd-8B57-983435B9899E} - C:\Program Files\Free Surfer\FS20.exe

O16 - DPF: {CD5DB70E-9969-45A5-9E45-5BAC1B2154F8} - http://www.im.tv/bbstart.ocx

Then boot to safe mode (see how below), locate and delete these files and/or folders:

C:\PROGRA~1\MOREID~1 - folder (I don't know the full name but it will begin with MOREID and it will contain the DELETE THAT.exe - file
C:\Program Files\Free Surfer - folder
C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3 - folder
C:\Program Files\Web_Rebates - folder

How to restart to safe mode:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...2001052409420406?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam

Because XP will not always show you hidden files and folders by default, Go to Start - Search and under "More advanced search options". Make sure there is a check by "Search System Folders" and "Search hidden files and folders" and "Search system subfolders"

Next click on My Computer. Go to Tools - Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and "Hide extensions for known file types". Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK".

Then reboot and post another log please.

Oops for me too.

I forgot to include this folder to delete:

C:\PROGRA~1\TESTSTUPIDOKAY - folder

Please be sure to delete that as well.

Alright now I'm having more trouble like... When I start Windows and I click to run an application like AIM or hijackthis, it will just sit there. And when I click to restart, It doesn't restart. I've waited for a while then it say it's waiting for these programs or something and it has the option to End Task. I end task and it just sits there, so I do it again and I hafta wait some more. So I end up hard shutdowning my labtop. I think I'm just gonna burn everything onto disc and format my whole computer. But I don't know how to do that on Windows XP, on 98 I can just type 'format c:' but I can't do that on XP and I don't have a recovery disc. Can someone help me out?
