I think it's great the University blocked access to Morpheus. Almost everything downloaded from it is illegal, and the University could be held responsible for violating piracy laws. Do you want our Universities to spend time and money on fighting lawsuits?

Also, Morpheus and other file sharing programs use an enormous amount of bandwidth. That also costs the University time and money.

Try aimster, gnutella, musiccity, KaZaA, grokster, etc

Although I would think that the univercity blocks those too, if they block Morpheus.

Lots of these programs seem to be just different front ends for the same networks. I'm not that big of an expert on the subject, I just listed some names.

All the above filesharing programs are also loaded with spyware except for WinMx. Just an FYI for y'all. :)

The only problem with that MatrixX is that when you remove the spyware components the program(s) may not work properly(unfortunately).

Sharon D is 100% right. All the file sharing programs that use spyware, will not work if you remove the spyware components. Also stay away from audio galaxey, its also filled with spyware.

    just my 2 cents :D

    Hiya

Think that swapnut is spyware free. I have just downloaded and installed the Preview edition of the new Morpheus. No spyware.
