I just got a new dell server 600sc. It comes with four pci expansion slots, but they are not like the other pci slots of cards I have. They have the slot in the from of the card and will not fit. Dells website says they are 3x32b/33 mhz support 5v cards, where in the world can I find pci cards that fit this?
Is there a certain type I should look for?

    Thanks

Most PCI slots are compatible with both the 32 and 64 bit data busses. Why Dell is selling a machine that is only compatible with the 32 bit PCI cards is beyond me. 64 bit cards will not fit into a PCI slot that is not made to be compatible with them because they are longer than the 32 bit cards. I would either return the machine to Dell requesting something that will be compatible with current technology, or try to find a 32 bit PCI card that will meet your needs.
    Cheers! (y)

I just went to Dell's site and looked over the specs for that server.

    http://www.dell.com/us/en/esg/topics/esg_pedge_sc_towermain_servers_3_pedge_600sc.htm

It should have 1-32 bit slot and 4-64 bit slots.None of them support 5.0V,they are all 3.3V. (by-the-by,this is CURRENT technology)
Then I went to Yahoo! and did a basic general search for: 64 bit PCI card
The search came back with over relative 260,000 pages.Everything from definitions, reviews,to purchasing sites for cards.
You should have no problem finding what you want or need,if you do the same...

If for some unknown reason Dell sold you something that was NOT a 600sc server, you should contact them directly.
And I kinda' doubt they would have done that.

thanks guys, I clicked the wrong server, I looked at the 400sc, not the 600sc, I'll look for 64 bit pci cards.
