Need some help with Ram Issue

    I'm going to buy http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5390959 for my Hp Desktop the specs are:

    Microsoft Windows XP
    Home Edition
    Version 2002
    Service Pack 2

    Hewlett-Packard
    Pavilion
    Intel(R)
    Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.53GHz,2.53 GHz, 504 MB of RAM

    Would the Ram im buying be compatible for my desktop computer?

    Appreciate any help, thanks

    The picture shown is not the same as the product listed. The picture shown on Walmart's website there is of SODIMM memory (generally used in laptops), but the product description states that it's 184-pin DIMM memory (used in desktop). Things like that aren't too comforting when buying computer hardware and I wouldn't suggest buying from there. If you are comfortable buying things online I suggest buying from a place like Newegg, more specifically this memory should work out great for you:

    I would go here and puit in your model number in the configurator and get a guaranteed match and crucial (Micron) ram is amongst the best.
