need step by step for pcmcia dos driver

    i need to reinstall windows 98 on a laptop that has an external pcmcia cdrom drive. i know that i have to install the dos drivers for the pcmcia, but i don't know how. i have them on floppy, i think... i got it from the soyo website. can anyone help me?

    Start by unzipping the files from the floppy to a work folder on your C drive. Then list them and post the list here so we can see what you have got.

    Why start a new thread???

    name of zip file- cd-dos.zip

    Hitachi folder
    Matshita folder
    Mitsumi folder

    Mouse.exe
    Zvhdd.exe
    logipad.bat

    i see alot of ide stuff in these readme files...

    Sorry for the delay. I'm in the UK and went out for the night.
    I've had an exrta thought or two.
    What make/model is the CD and is the PCMCIA card permanently attached or is it a different make? If so give make/model as well.
