    Is it possible to hook up a IDE hard-drive to a computer with a SATA hard-drive to save the info off the IDE drive

    It depends on the motherboard. Some new boards still have 1 or 2 ide slots and a floppy slot, but others don't have ANY, just sata.

    What mobo do you have?

    Just put the IDE drive in an enclosure, and transfer the data with USB.
    Sorry, everything didn't copy;
    or as MichaelDee says if you have an IDE interface on your board, jumper the hard drive to cable select, hook it up as the only drive on an IDE interface and transfer the data.

    EDIT: Add line that did not copy
