For you Dreamweaver users there - I just did some new pages, uploaded them, etc. The navigation bar does not show up on the web. It shows up on the page on my HD, and it shows up when I preview it in IE6. I can see all the files for the nav bar on the remote server but they don't show up on the web in my browser IE6.

The js code for the Xara webstyle nav bar shows up in the source too on the web.

Anyone have any ideas on why the nav bar is not showing up on the web? I even turned my firewall off in case that was blocking it for me. Could it be the positioning of the tables or something? I'm stumped and it's late.

I never had this problem before

Thanks in advance.

either you haven't uploaded the js script for the nav menu or it's been uploaded to the wrong place

I've just checked and you have the xara js script in right place but are referring to exhibition .gif and exhibition.js in the wrong place. they are both uploaded in the same directory as the main html page but the script is calling them from 2 levels higher.

lose the 2 .. and the /

what you have is
document.write('<scr'+'ipt src="xaramenu.js">'+'</scr'+'ipt>');document.write('<scr'+'ipt src="../exhibition.js">'+'</scr'+'ipt>');/*img src="../exhibition.gif" moduleid="default (project)\exhibition_off.xws"*/

what you should have is

document.write('<scr'+'ipt src="xaramenu.js">'+'</scr'+'ipt>');document.write('<scr'+'ipt src="exhibition.js">'+'</scr'+'ipt>');/*img src="exhibition.gif" moduleid="default (project)\exhibition_off.xws"*/

That's some convoluted scripting for a simple menu. How would
<script webstyle3> validate?

Looks like a path problem getting to your script.

Ok, I got it fixed now. Thanks everyone. :)

about the code validating... as long as it works in the browser, I guess I'm not too concered about the validation. Maybe I should be but I'm not. ;)

A friend of mine always made sure his code validated, but sometimes the web page wouldn't work correctly in the browser, so he decided that having it work was more important than having it validate.
