I've been having many issues with WMP and cant find any alternatives to this piece of crap. I need to find something that does not eat my resources, uses mp3 tags, and can sync devices. I loved Rhythmbox in Ubuntu but can find anything similar to it for stupid Windows. Can someone help?
If you're looking for a replacement for Rhythmbox then you probably want an music player/organizer. If you want a fully featured program try MediaMonkey, MusicBee or Winamp.
If your main concern is a program that's easy on resources try foobar2000 but I'm not sure if they have a plugin to sync devices.
I've read that Amarok & Clementine are also good but they seem to be resource consuming. I guess I could install one lightweight music player and one full featured organizer w sync.
for music, I just use winamp. Have for over a decade.......as for organizing, I just do that myself. But then I have a touch of ocd, people say, and I like things the exact way I like them.
"Billy 1.03" is the lightweight music player I use, only 665kb, and has no frills, it just works. Freeware, found here: http://www.sheepfriends.com/?page=billy
You can also try JetAudio -- it can also handle video files. It has a family of utilities even for casting and streaming too.
