I have been having some problems burning CDs lately. Nero will go through the motions and successfully burn the CD, but when I go to listen to the CD the tracks will not play. Is this a problem with the software or my burner itself? Is there any kind of test I can do to check and see if my burner is working correctly? In the past CDs created from this burner have successfully worked, which is why this recent problem has been so frustrating. Thanks for any advice or support
You could put the cd in your cd-rom and open my computer. Then right click the cd-rom drive the cd is located in. Click open and check the contents of the cd. They should be called .cda files. Click on one and see if your media player can play the track correctly. Also, you could go to your control panel and click on the system icon. Then go to device manager and click the plus sign next to cd-rom. Right click the cd-writer and click delete. Re-boot your computer to freshly reload the driver for that cd-writer. Also, have you updated your NeroBurning Rom to the newest version? If not, Nero has a update feature built into their installer for there new versions of NeroBurning Rom. Last thing, some of the blank cd's out their are not the greatest quality. I purchased a pack of generic blanks cd's and they would not play my copied music in my cd player. I then purchased a pack of Maxell blank cd's and did the same thing and my music played correctly. It is a trial and error procedure when you encounter weird problems like this. I hope my input was a help to you. If not I apologize for not being able to help you.
Good luck!
