I am having a problem with the Windows Update Error code 643 and believe I need to uninstall some versions of .Net Framework that are in conflict with each other. I am running Win 7 Pro, SP1. The "ONLY" version of .Net Framework shown in Control Panel>Programs and Features is V4.6.1. HOWEVER, when I run The dot net setup verification tool it validates virtually all versions on my system. My understanding is that v4 and any version of 4.5 can't co-exist, which would mean I need to uninstall them, but I can't do that because they are not listed as installed programs. Does anyone know how I can uninstall these versions so I can try to fix my update issues with updates to 4.6.1?

    Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
comes as part of Windows 7, so it will not appear in the "Programs And Features" list.

Installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4 or a newer version will appear in the list.

Installing a newer 4x version will overwrite an older 4x version, so you will not see multiple 4x versions in the list.

For example, if you had version 4.5 and then install 4.6.1, the newer version 4.6.1. will appear in the list.
