When broadcasting messages on our local network, I'm limited to only about 255 characters. The rest of the message is truncated. I've seen in the past broadcast messages (when this was a spam vulnerability) that had formatted text with multiple lines.

As long as I'm on the subject, I'd also like a way for the message to indicate who the message is from instead of the name of the computer.

I know there are some 3rd party tools out there, like Net Send Lite 2.0, but if these 3rd party tools have this functionality, shouldn't the standard "net send" command have parameters to allow the same functionality?

    Thanks,
    Tom

Not sure you can do all that with just net send.
