Hi, the start of this month has been rough for me...i noticed that my net speed on my PC is really slow.It would be fast for the first 5 mins after booting up and then later it would go so slow that the net was unusable. The pings are always high. cant even log into games.

I called the ISP worker. He checked if there were any faults with the internet but it was all good and worked fine. He checked by connecting his laptop with the cable to the modem. There seemed to be no problem and everything worked fine on his end.

All my devices such as mobiles and tab work like a charm and there was no speed issue with them.

My PC is connected via cable to modem.(D-link). I have a gtx 1060 card, i5 7500, gigabyte b150 mobo.

So im guessing the problem is with my pc. i downloaded malware byte to check for malwares and it found 1098 malwares and so i deleted them(quarantined). After that the net worked well again but after bootup it was once again slow.I had read some forum stating that it AMD Quick Stream was responsible for slow net but the thing is i do not have an AMD product.

Hi lawnil,
Sorry for the delay.
Let's see if we can fix up the speed issue for you, if you are still bothered by it.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Download and Run the Farbar Scan Tool
  • Download FRST64 and save to your Desktop.
  • Double click Frst64.exe to launch it.
  • FRST64 will start to run.
    • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
    • Press the Scan button.
    • When finished scanning, 2 logs will open on your Desktop, FRST.txt and Addition.txt
    • Please post them in your next reply.
If you lose track of them, they will be saved in the same location as FRST64.exe
Feel free to use separate replies if it's more convenient.
