Hi All,

im trying to buy a netbook for school because of its portability. I am mainly going to use it in letures for note taking, power points, surfing, and java/c# programming.

Its a debate between Acer Aspire ONE D255E-13808($190CAD) Vs. Acer Aspire One 721-3858($250CAD). Both netbooks are used and in really good shape. Im really leaning towards the 721 because of the HDMI compatibility but D255E is pretty much the same specs minus HDMI.

If you have better preforming netbooks in mind let me know. My budget is 100 - 275CAD.

I wanted to get an outside point of view before I made the purchase.

Thanks

HDMI compatibility is only important if you are going to use HDMI. If you plan to, then you need it. If you don't, then why spend the money?

Have you actually typed on a netbook before? The keyboards are smaller than full-size laptops, and some models have funky sized keys like a shrunken or mis-placed right shift key. Portability only goes so far if they keyboard and screen are so small you can't effectively type and read.

What would you plan to use the HDMI output for? Netbooks don't have HD graphics, and the maximum resolution will not fill a large screen TV.

A netbook is not just a small laptop. I suggest you look at them a bit more closely and do a little more research to make sure this is really what you want to buy.
