I have several XP computers at work with NetMeeting configured to allow remote desktop sharing. I can start a NetMeeting session on my workstation, make a call to the remote computer name or IP, and enter my domain logon information for the remote computer (note: my username is an administrator on all of the computers). I then have full control over the remote computer without requiring any action from a user on the remote computer (important). This comes in handy especially when the remote computer is 800 miles away.
Well now my company has decided to disable NetMeeting, and roll out LiveMeeting 2007 instead. So my question, does LiveMeeting contain the same functionality?
I realize there are tons of third party utilities out there that do the same thing. But company rules prohibit installing anything that isn't approved on their computers, so that isn't an option. And purchased software (even if approved by IT) has to be charged to the requesting department, so that isn't an option either.
