That was awesome info, I printed it out...however, I should've mentioned that I have XP Pro. I dont' have a 3Web folder, and can't seem to locate a Profile folder in netscape that has emails in it, I found one, but it has bookmarks and a few email PROFILES,...will saving those save the emails that are currently there?

Hello! I have a problem and here's the scoop...I would like to save my "saved email" folders on a floppy (planning on a new computer). I use Netscape and that is where I mostly retreive my email and I plan to switch to Explorer when I get my new comp. Any suggestions on how to tranfer all this??

I'm not quite sure how to do this. Hewee, I went to the site you suggested, but I am lost. What I have are categorized folders that that I created and I would like to save them on disk and I am hoping that I can then maybe import them into Outlook on my new computer, is this possible? If so, could you possibly be able to give me detailed instructions? I am illiterate when it comes to doing things like this. Any advice will help. Thanks.

    Look here http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/ns67cleaninstall.html

It will tell you where your user folder is for your OS.
I would just back up the whole user folder so your have everything.
Then burned to to a CD. After that you can go and get what you back off the CD.
I see you said floppy. Do you have a CD burner?

    What OS do you have?
How much mail do you have because it could 100's and 100's of floppys if you have images and other attachments on the emails.

I have Windows XP, a cd burner, and as far as the size of my emails, they shouldn't take up too much room...most is just receipt email.

    http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/ns67cleaninstall.html

Back up your Profiles Folder, located in:

    Windows 2000/Windows XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename\xxxxxxxx.slt
NOTE: These files are hidden by default.
    To see hidden files:
    1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options
    2. Click the View tab
    3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders

    http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/ns7mailtrnsfr.html

To move the Mail files to the new location: (Your want to copy and not move but it tells you where the mail is)

With Netscape closed, open Windows Explorer:
Copy the files with no .msf extensions in the Communicator 4.x or Netscape 6.x or 7.x Mail folder (Inbox, Drafts, Templates, Sent, Trash)
Paste the files with no .msf extensions in the new Mail folder:
    C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename\xxxxxxxx.slt\Mail\accountname

Now if you want to save your address and bookmarks also let me know.
