I removed Netscape6 via Add/Delete prg's, now I"m getting a msg " Netscp6.exe missing" whenever I try to download from the internet. I've got Communicator loaded and am happy with that, hope I don't have to reload Netscape6 to resolve this problem.

    Hi Amy,

I found this newsgroup thread where a somewhat comparable file association problem was solved.

    Have a look.

    Good luck,

    Amy,

You told me you have problems accessing my hyperlink,
    It works here, however.

    Here's the text that matters:

When I try to open a document or file or even look at something I have saved on a CD, I keep getting the message *Windows cannot find NETSCP6.EXE. This program is needed for opening files of type "Mozilla JPEG Image File." Can anyone please tell me what I need to do to get this back?

I'm using Netscape Communicator 4.77 and never noticed that problem before, but I had downloaded Netscape 6, but it was by accident because I wasn't watching what I clicked to download and immediately did an uninstall. Did I lose this file then? I know nothing about this stuff, but I really need to get this back so that I can open those files, so any help would sure be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Go to http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/contrib/uninstall/ . Then download and run "uninstall-moz.exe."
