I'm trying to setup my first network, with a computer almost exacally the same as mine running xp pro, We both connect to our b-band internet via a 4 way modem, when I go to my network settings and use the wizard to setup a network, after selecting the 'correct' settings and hitting finish an error message pops up saying that I don't have admin privlages )but I am the admin! The same thing happens if we try and set it up from the other computer. I'm not sure it's related but after a while of useing internet related programs e.g. internet explorer and msm. The internet just stops working, the Local area connection always stays on saying it's conected but my computer will act as if it's not connected. but as soon as I restart my computer it'll work fine again, this is very frustrating as it goes this about once every hour. At the moment when I open the LAC status the speed is 100.0 Mbps status is connected bytes sent 945762, received 17,017,553.

    Any ideas?
