So I have a computer program on one of my computers that is currently "trying to crash," I am trying to move the program I have to another computer. I have downloaded the software and I am trying to connect our tablet that contains the clock in software to the new computer. It connects through a database server. How do I connect this to the database server that is associated with the new computer?

That question is impossible to answer as you haven't told us which software, which back-end database and exactly how the tablets connect. Does it use a direct connection, use a certificate or what?
It sounds to me like this may be a job for a professional. Or, at the very least, you should contact the maker of the software and ask them how you can move the database to a new computer and how to change the configuration in the tablet.
