This prob is a newbie question, but here it is nonetheless. I currently live in a student house with 5 other people for university. We just got our DSL internet service and we are using the Netgear Rangemax Wireless router.

We do have a download cap on our internet service. As a result, I just wanted to know if there is a way to monitor the individual bandwidth usage of the 5 people on the wireless network? It's pretty much to make sure no one is excessivley going overboard in terms of downloading/uploading.

Any software that will do this? Or can it be monitored within the Netgear default gateway page itself?

You'll actually need a separate machine as a gateway to monitor this. It requires more intelligence than a simple router has.
