    Hi all,

I am having a weird issue with XP Pro, joined to a SAMBA Domain : the XP box used to be able to edit the security directly by going to the properties of the folder in the PDC, and assign fine-grained permissions in the Security tab. Now some of the folders don't even have the security tab, and those that do cannot change the settings; any valid changes are just reverted at immediately without error. eg... remove Everyone, apply, Everyone comes straight back.

Thanks for reply, but that is for all or nothing; not some there and some not...and when it is there it doesn't function properly.

Thanks again for your persistence, but the Simple file Sharing IS off, otherwise I should not see any security tab at all.
